This post is false most likely slander.
1) http://www.metropipe.net is alive and well, and so is business and our customers.
2) Both ssh+proxy GOLD service and VPN PRO service are working well.
3) We are not associated with metropipe.COM
4) The portable privacy machine was a beta demonstration of a virtual machine used for additional privacy for particular threat models. It is discontinued.
Any questions, contact us at support@metropipe.net or hiro@metropipe.net

I’ve been using metropipe.net for years!
I live outside the USA and I’m watching Netflix right now.
There are up and running… I’ve never had a problem with them and I’m looking forward to watching my Netflix for years to come!!!
Keep it up Metropipe!

I was stupid enough to take a two years subscription with them, $180 gone down the drain. I used their services before and was reasonably happy. However, this version of vpn they use just does not work, and when it works the browser disconnects after a while. Worst even, the connection leaks your IP through multiple disconnection/reconnection. I did get help here and there but they never could make it work. At they end, they just didn’t reply anymore, and my request for refund were also ignored. I feel scammed and ripped off. Don’t do business with them. There are so many so much better VPN services now, no sense having to deal with incompetent and inept people, even if they may not be conscious scammers, but who knows… In contrast I got a free vpn from ProXPN that just works as a dream and of course will subscribe a paid connection with them. Be warned.

Metropipe is a scam. I signed up in early February 2011. Still no service. What kind of business is this? A scam is the answer. They now want me to do a “remote” with one of their so called “techs”??? LOL, LOL , LOL. I now have a real vpn service that (has the same features) actually works. Metropipe is a joke.

I’m using their VPN right now. :/ This is just a sad stab at them. It is misinformed and probably posted by other VPN providers. I’m happy with their speed and I will be with them for years to come. It doesn’t leak my IP and they gave me free PGP encrypted email. Also, I believe it’s metropipe.net (Not .com) If you can mess that up I doubt anyone has even gone to their site… let alone tried them. They are awesome. End of line.
